We are looking to recruit a reliable and proactive Maintenance Officer to join our client’s care home team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical maintenance experience who takes pride in creating a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out general repairs, decorating, grounds maintenance, and supporting the overall upkeep of the home while ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at all times. Working closely with the Home Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the home remains welcoming, safe, and operating efficiently.
About the Role
As a Maintenance Officer, you will bring previous hands-on maintenance experience along with practical trade skills to ensure the home, its grounds, fixtures, and equipment are maintained to a consistently high standard.
Working closely with the Home Manager, the Maintenance Officer will play a key role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Your responsibilities will include carrying out day-to-day repairs, undertaking painting and decorating tasks, and supporting the upkeep of the grounds, as well as contributing to health and safety compliance across the home.
The successful candidate will be well organised, self-motivated, and confident working independently when required. You will take pride in your work, demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining high standards, and always operate with awareness of safeguarding and the wellbeing of vulnerable residents at the heart of everything you do.
