Describe your job in three words

High Quality Recruitment

What are the essentials skills for someone working in recruitment to have?

Honesty. Integrity, Passion and Determination. Anyone can learn how to be a recruiter, but having these four principles and skills will likely make your role a lot less challenging.

What does your day-to-day role entail?

My role is to help support Olive Recruit to take their fantastic recruitment model to market, crating a sales strategy which engages with new clients across the UK to develop strong, collaborative working
relationships.

What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?

I am currently looking at how we can adapt our tried and tested recruitment model in order to increase our levels of support to more clients within the care sector.

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?

By its very definition, the health and social care industry has been built by professionals who are passionate about providing care and support to others, seeing the lengths that people go to in order
to provide care inspires me daily. I hope I can use the skills and knowledge I have developed over the years to contribute to supporting the industry.

What challenges have you faced?

The health and social care sector have always had a high demand for staff at all levels. This has always posed a challenge to recruiters as there are more jobs than there are staff to do them, however I feel
that its important to ensure we collaborate with out clients to ensure we are placing staff into roles which not only plays to all their strengths but most importantly they enjoy.

What is the best thing about being part of the Olive Recruit Team?

The team and positive work environment are unlike anything else I have experienced in my tenure
as a recruiter. Recruitment can often be seen as ‘dog-eat-dog’ which can often create a negative work environment, at Olive Recruit there is a real sense of family and everyone works together to reach our collective goals.
