As a Talent Sourcer, I enjoy connecting with diverse and talented individuals, understanding their unique skills and experiences, and ultimately helping them find the perfect opportunities that align with their career goals. It’s fulfilling to be a part of their professional journey and contribute to the success of both candidates and the organisations I work with.
What are the essentials skills for someone working in recruitment to have?
The recruitment field is a dynamic and people-oriented field that requires a combination of interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
What does your day-to-day role entail?
I start my day by reviewing my schedule and priorities, identify and source potential candidates through various channels like job boards, social media, professional networks, and referrals. Then, I proceed to evaluate resumes and applications so that I can shortlist candidates. Finally, I schedule interviews with the candidates and navigate them through a positive candidate experience.
What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?
One of the most rewarding aspects of being a recruiter is the opportunity to connect people with great job opportunities and support them into finding their dream job as well as helping them choose a career path and see them succeed.
What’s the most inspiring part of your job?
The most inspiring part of the job is the process of arranging a suitable placement by ensuring the right candidate is in the appropriate position that will give the candidate fulfilment and motivation to become the best at their role.
What challenges have you faced?
Even from day one, I was accepted as part of the team, and felt equal just like everyone else. Therefore, together with the entire team, we are able to overcome even the smallest challenges that come our way.
