What website do you visit the most?

Reddit is my go-to. It’s a great resource for professional and personal interests alike—whether it’s staying on top of the latest in recruitment and business or just exploring hobbies like gaming and music. There’s a subreddit for everything, which helps me keep informed and connected to diverse topics.

What is the last book you read?

“Dilla Time” by Dan Charnas. It’s an exploration of the life and musical genius of J Dilla, a legendary figure in the world of hip hop, and it touches on themes of creativity, rhythm, and the importance of understanding the deeper layers behind someone’s work.

Describe your job in three words.

Connecting, People, Growth

Recruitment is all about connecting the right people with the right opportunities. The ability to understand people—both candidates and clients—and how they fit into each other’s needs is key. Every successful placement contributes to both personal and company growth, and that’s the most rewarding part of what I do.

What are the essentials skills for someone working in recruitment to have?

Empathy, communication, and analytical skills. A good recruiter needs to understand not just a candidate’s skillset but also their personality and how they’ll fit into the culture of a company. Equally, understanding the company’s needs and requirements helps in matching them with the right talent. Being able to mix and match profiles with job descriptions is crucial for finding the perfect fit, but it also takes intuition and the ability to think critically about how people and roles align.

What does your day-to-day role entail?

My day-to-day is all about sourcing and engaging with candidates for open roles. I spend time researching, reaching out to top talent, scheduling interviews, and preparing candidates for the next steps. There’s a real enjoyment in the process—getting to know people, understanding their goals, and helping them navigate their career journey, all while moving positions forward to the next phase.

What’s the coolest thing you’re working on right now?

There’s not just one thing—I truly enjoy the overall experience of the job. While I’m still in onboarding, the excitement of connecting with people and knowing I’m contributing to the company’s growth and success already makes each day rewarding

What’s the most inspiring part of your job?

The most inspiring part of my job is seeing the direct impact that recruiting has on people’s lives. Connecting someone with a job that aligns with their values and aspirations is a powerful thing. The work we do not only reshapes the people we place and the companies we work with but also has a broader impact on the healthcare industry as a whole, especially in mental healthcare. Knowing that our work contributes to such meaningful change is incredibly motivating.

What challenges have you faced?

Being new to the healthcare industry has certainly been a learning curve. There’s so much to absorb, especially with the range of positions and unique processes within the field. But I’m incredibly passionate about mental healthcare, and I feel so grateful to be a part of this industry. The challenges are exciting, and I’m tackling them with a great deal of enthusiasm. There’s so much to learn, but I’m fully committed to the growth and success of both myself and the team as we navigate this new territory.
